JAMERICAN NYAMS is a cookbook written about the glory of Jamaican cuisine. This book is an accumulation of the variety of cultures and traditions within the Caribbean islands. Problem
A blind spot exists in U.S. American culture around the significance and importance of Jamaican food and culture along with its greater influence on the world. Jamaicans are often misunderstood, under-represented and left out of mainstream society. The African diaspora and black indigenous people of color have not received the adequate respect or representation for our beautiful and sacred, cultural celebratory traditions. Injustice and inequality must be exposed to the world. Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) have a duty to the next generation to honor and celebrate our ancestors in order to preserve our cultural impact and influence on the planet.
